Where do I begin??? I spent 18 years in as a teacher in “traditional” classrooms, teaching grades 1st-4th at the elementary level and 6th grade Language Arts in middle school. While teaching, my passion was always on literacy and instilling a passion for reading in my students. The little girl who always had her nose stuck in a book and wanted to have bookshelves lining my the walls of my bedroom, now gets to live out that dream here at FCA! My goal is to engage students in stories and challenge them to find adventure in the words of the books they read.
Outside the pages of a book, I love spending time with my family. My husband and I have 2 sons who keep us VERY busy with school, sports & marching band. Our oldest recently started college at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. We love all things adventure and travel. Road trips to hike mountains & explore this beautiful country are our favorite kind of adventures. When not traveling, you can find me snuggled with my fur-baby, Thor, drinking coffee, and cheering on my favorite teams. Go Braves, Gators, and Knights!

Hi, I’m Ms. B. After spending many years as an elementary school teacher, I’ve found my home in the library here at FCA. The library has always held a special place in my heart. I’m so excited to be able to work with Mrs. Schroeder and continue to share my love of reading with your children each day.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my family. My husband and I enjoy boating on the Intracoastal, and I love to cook and bake. Of course, my most favorite times are spent hanging out with my beautiful grandchildren.
