WELCOME TO FREEDOM CROSSING ACADEMY ART!

Hi! I am Mrs. Vincent and I’m so excited to share my love of art with our K–5 students. Before joining the wonderful world of teaching Art, I taught Kindergarten for 8.5 years and am currently on year 4 of art.  I believe every child is an artist, and my goal is to create a fun, welcoming space where students feel comfortable exploring their creativity and expressing themselves. In the art room, we celebrate imagination, curiosity, and trying new things—there’s no “wrong” way to create!

I love helping students discover new materials, learn about artists from around the world, and find joy in the creative process. Whether we’re painting, building, drawing, or experimenting, my hope is that students leave the art room feeling proud, confident, and excited to keep creating. When art is fun and meaningful, it becomes something students can carry with them for a lifetime.

Where Creativity Comes to Life

Elementary Art is a joyful, hands-on space where K–5 students are encouraged to explore their creativity, express their ideas, and have fun making art! Students experiment with a wide variety of materials and techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, and mixed media while learning the basics of color, line, shape, texture, and design.

Our art room is a place where imagination is celebrated and every student’s voice matters. Lessons focus on the creative process—trying new things, problem-solving, and embracing mistakes as part of learning. Students explore art from different cultures and artists while building confidence, fine motor skills, and a love for creating. Whether they’re inventing something new or adding their own personal touch to a project, students are encouraged to be proud of their unique artwork and enjoy the magic of making art.
