FCA TRAFFIC PATTERNS FOR MORNING ARRIVAL
& AFTER SCHOOL DISMISSAL
It is our goal to release students in an orderly manner to ensure the safety of all our Falcons. This
page contains information that will help with understanding our dismissal procedures and the traffic
flow at FCA. Please know our goal is to move things along in a manner that is a safe and as quick
as possible.
START AND END TIMES
Students are allowed to enter the building at 7:40 am. Instruction will begin at 8:00 am.
Students will be marked tardy if not in their classrooms by 8:00 am. Dismissal begins at 2:20 pm (1:20 pm on Wednesdays).
BUSES
There are two FCA buses that have ‘Double Runs” with their first drop off time at 7:30am. All other
buses will begin student drop off at 7:40 am. Please allow the “Double Run” buses priority as they
move in and out of our campus. Buses enter at the first entrance and drop off at the bus loop by
the cafeteria. Vehicles should not enter this loop to drop off students as this creates a huge safety
issue for our students.
EXTENDED DAY
Morning drop off for extended day starts at 6:30am and ends at 7:30am. Please drop off your
child at the cafeteria/bus loop.
FCA has two “Double Run” buses that unload students at 7:30am. After 7:30am, parents will need
to drop off their child at the parent drop off location.
After school pick up starts at 3:00pm and ends at 6:00pm. Parents will pick up their child from the
cafeteria/ bus loop.
PARENT DROP OFF AND PICK UP
Parents should follow the same traffic pattern in the morning and in the afternoon. Please be
careful as you wind around the parking lot; the first turn in is very tight. Also, please refrain from
cell phone use while in this line.
Parents should not drop off their children in the parking lot adjacent to the school (baseball field
parking lot) as this drop off in this location causes a traffic delay for our buses and also poses a
safety risk for biker and walkers. Please drop off students in the designated parent pick drop off
line.
MORNING DROP OFF
Your child should ONLY exit the passenger side of the car. There are patrols and adults to help
your child exit the car. If needed, we will assist your child to class or into the building. At FCA we
work as a team! You can help by having your child ready to exit the car on his/her own when it is
their time to exit.
AFTERNOON PICK UP
As you wind through the parking lot you will be greeted by a staff member. Please have the car
tag displayed in your window with the GRADE and FIRST NAME of your child(ren). Your child(ren)
will be called to wait for you at a cone.
